CROSSCARE NAMIBIA

Your local programme partner in Namibia for registered nurses

From limited local support to a fully guided program in Namibia.

Connecting knowledge, people and international experience — while strengthening elderly and dementia care in Namibia.

A specialised pathway for registered nurses

We started in the Netherlands but are now expanding our operations across Europe.

CrossCare Namibia develops and coordinates a locally embedded programme for qualified Namibian nurses who want to broaden their professional experience through working in European elderly and dementia care.

Our focus is broad, but we have a special program for elderly and dementia care.

Participating nurses are prepared in Namibia for living and working in Europe, with a particular focus on the knowledge, skills, and mindset required for caring for the elderly and people with dementia.

What CrossCare brings

Local presence in Namibia
CrossCare provides a permanent local point of contact and coordinates the programme in close cooperation with healthcare professionals, ADN and educational partners in Namibia.

Personal and local guidence in Namibia
Participants receive personal support throughout their preparation period in Namibia and during their international experience.

Additional: Language & cultural preperation
Language development, intercultural awareness and practical preparation for living and working abroad start well before departure

Additional: Dementia knowledge through ADN
Through our collaboration with Alzheimer’s Dementia Namibia, dementia knowledge and practical experience form an integral part of the programme.

CrossCare does not replace the role of the European recruitment partner.

We prepare and support healthcare professionals in Namibia, while our European partners manage recruitment, recognition, employment, relocation and placement.

Together, these complementary roles create a structured pathway from preparation in Namibia to professional experience in European elderly and dementia care

Ethical recruitment

International experience without a Brain Drain

CrossCare believes that international mobility in healthcare should create value on both sides.

European elderly care gains motivated healthcare professionals who have consciously prepared for working with older people and people living with dementia.

Namibian nurses gain international experience, professional development and new knowledge.

But Namibia should benefit too.

CrossCare therefore invests in local partnerships, dementia knowledge and awareness, education and the development of opportunities within Namibia.

We maintain the connection with healthcare professionals during their time abroad and encourage the knowledge and experience they gain internationally to become part of the future development of healthcare in Namibia.
